Medical Department in Indian Railways, performing its best by providing passenger oriented medical facilities in trains and at stations.
Last year about 16,000 sick passengers were provide emergency medical treatment by Railway Doctors. About 360 railway accidents and other untoward incidents were attended.
About 75,000 water samples were tested for residual chlorine and bacteria. And more than 15,000 food samples also collected for testing.
